A Message from Ken J. Bernsen, CEO

Greetings Capital Health Care Network Family,

While the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect the entire world, we at Capital Health remain committed to the highest health and safety standards. We know this time has been difficult, frustrating, and unprecedented for our residents, their families, and staff. Even so, we are honored to serve seniors in Ohio and West Virginia. We take the responsibility of safeguarding those most at risk of contracting this highly contagious virus extremely seriously.

We continue to follow the guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC)Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and state and local officials. Every decision we have made since the emergence of this virus – and will continue to make in the coming days – has been with one thought in mind: the safety of our residents.

We currently have special COVID-19 visitation policies in place to keep our residents, staff, and their visitors safe, and we appreciate your patience as things continue to evolve. While we battle this pandemic, we encourage families to stay engaged with their senior loved ones. A good old-fashioned telephone call is a wonderful way to reach out, as are more technological methods such as video chatting via Facetime, Zoom, or Google Meet. Our staff are happy to help coordinate your visit.

Please know that our residents are being cared for by a staff who are second to none. Our cherished Healthcare Heroes have been tremendous in facing these challenging times with an unmatched strength of character. Their courage, resolve and compassion are on display each day. As you might have seen on our social media channels (Facebook and Instagram), they have continued to safely bring care and joy to our residents. They have gone above and beyond, and I thank every one of them.

Please visit our website often and feel free to reach out to us if you have concerns or questions. Contact information for our Facility Administrators and Managers is readily available.  You are also welcome to contact our confidential Values Line at 1-888-508-5285.

Continue to stay safe and may God bless you.

Sincerely,
Ken J. Bernsen, CEO
