Referring Facilities Feedback
"I have had the opportunity to work side by side with Michelle Dalton from Gables Care Center for many years. I know that she puts forth her whole heart in finding the appropriate placements for her residents. Gables Care Center has been the nursing facility of choice of many Harrison County Residents since it opened its doors. The facility appears always nice and clean. The atmosphere is pleasant very homelike. Michelle always does her best to make the transition from hospital to nursing home for the residents as easy as possible."
-- Pam Parrish, LSW, Director of Social Services / Harrison Community Hospital
"I have been medical attending at Gables Care Center since its opening. In that time, the facility has developed a professional nursing, ancillary, and support staff that provides superb care for our patients. The goal to do this in a home atmosphere is accomplished on a daily basis because of employee desire to address comfort and reduce fear consistently by attention to detail which often crosses specific stated responsibilities. If something needs to be done, it is. The accuracy of patient status reporting is never in doubt, which allows physicians to make appropriate decisions in a timely manner. The high patient and family satisfaction is a result of this dedication."

"I cannot say enough about Gables Care Center. The staff out there was so kind to my son. I have never seen a more caring and devoted staff. Thank you from the bottom of my heart it meant the world to me."
-- Missy W., Mother of Resident
"Gables Care Center has a history with my family. My dad was a resident here until his passing. All personnel was great, from the attention he received to the graciousness afforded to me. As a resident myself, I have received very good care. The Therapy has helped me so much. On both of my stays they brought me through to mobility when I could do nothing. Housekeeping is great, very attentive to the rooms. Office personnel are very helpful and kind. I’m on a difficult diet, meals are good and the personnel are great about assisting me with any needs I may have."
-- Sharon A., Resident
"Gables exceeded our expectations of care on every level. The staff was more
than available and accommodating to anything we needed or any questions we had, admissions, nurses, aides, therapy were all very present and helpful. We found great comfort in knowing Pap would be taken care of as if they were caring for a member of their own family. I am so grateful for the entire staff at Gables."

"I just want to thank each and every one of the great staff members at the Gables rehab to Home Unit. I couldn’t be happier with the care and support that Dave and I both receive during his stay. They absolutely go above and beyond for patients and their families."

"Before I came to work for Gables Care Center, I worked as an administrative assistant to the president of a Community Improvement Corporation. It was challenging and I enjoyed it, but I knew there was something missing in the job. When I came to Gables I found so much more - family, friends, a supportive staff and the opportunity to learn and make an amazing difference not only in my life but all the residents that I have come to know and love. I am truly blessed to a part of such a wonderful place and to work side by side with such loving and caring people. The work environment is so different from other work environments that I have experienced. I believe this is because each person that I work with, not only chooses to be here, but because they really LOVE their work."

"Over the past 20 years Gables Care Center has changed and grown. Residents and their families have increased in number as well as our own. We’ve laughed, cried, played and prayed together. We are a family consisting of residents their families and staff."
