Trina Lacey | Director of Quality Improvement
Why did you choose a career path in senior healthcare?
I am fortuitous to have found and to be a part of home care. Years ago I was presented with the opportunity to be a home-care nurse. It was then that I found my niche as a nurse and in health care. Home care provides the opportunity to be a part of the most intimate pieces of patient care. In home care, we are in the mix of the patients’ lives, we are with their families and we help address their needs. It allows us as providers to participate in the patients’ environment, we see firsthand their strengths, and aid in overcoming their struggles. I am lucky enough to have discovered my passion of being a nurse, and my nursing passion is to serve in home care. For those reasons I will forever choose a career in home care.
Name your best work moment.
There is no way to define one singular moment. Being witness to patients’ successes, participating in their achievements, and being a support system to patients and families all define my best work moments.
What do you look most forward to at work?
Contributing to something that matters. Participating in a team that is dedicated to improving others’ lives.
Favorite thing to do outside of work?
Outside of the office I enjoy spending my time on a golf course, with my two dogs, quilting, home projects, and weekend road trips.
