Why did you choose a career path in senior healthcare?
While working in another occupation, I was faced with the decision of placing both my parents in a skilled nursing facility at the same time. Unfortunately, my father passed away during that timeframe. Although, my mother was able to go to a skilled nursing facility. She received excellent care and rehabilitation services. My mother was able to return home. I visited my mother at the skilled nursing facility daily and decided I wanted to make a career change that allowed me to assist our seniors and anyone else who needed additional services in our community and surrounding areas.
Name your best work moment
I am proud to be part of the healthcare industry. We have experienced some difficult times, but our goal is to provide high-quality care and quality of life. Caring is the “key”.
What do you look most forward to at work?
I look forward to seeing all the smiles on our resident’s and employee’s faces daily.
Name some of your favorite things to do outside of work
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and the outdoors.
